Ashtabula Market

Featuring Real Estate for Sale in Ashtabula County

Where buyers meet sellers though the web

We will update this page from time to time, as we want to make sure everyone understands the services that we offer!  If you have a new question, comment, or want to provide a testimonial, please contact us!

How does my putting my house for sale online help me to sell it?

It's a statistical probability: The MORE people who see your ad, the FASTER it will sell!  If you are advertising your house in a newspaper ad, all you have to do is add to your listing: "See pictures at www.ashtabulamarket.com", OR if you have your OWN website, then you can direct the reader to your exclusive domain name that takes the viewer directly to YOUR website.  If you are utilizing a realtor, he or she should be able to put a link to your website on their listing page.  In addition, Ashtabula Market will submit your ad for publication to numerous online real estate websites.

What's the difference between listing my house on Ashtabula Market and having my own website?

Having your own website is similar to the Ashtabula Market listing, but by having your own domain website, when you advertise your house in your print ad, interested parties will go to YOUR website instead of ashtabulamarket.com.  They will not have the opportunity to be looking at anyone else's house listing except for yours.  Having your own website designed by Ashtabula Market is a high-value, low-cost way to advertise your house or property.

What will the website look like?

The website will have a look similar to the online flyers that you will find links to on our listing page.  Nothing fancy, but a direct way to have prospective buyers see your home.  We pride ourselves on our photography, and this is what the viewers will be looking at, YOUR beautiful house for sale.

So, when people see my house online, this means that I won't be bothered by people who are just "curious"?  When they contact me, they'll be more serious than the people who call me from my ad in the paper?

Absolutely!  Your online listing will "weed out" those who aren't looking for what you have to offer, but it WILL generate calls from interested people, who have already had the "first look" at your house.

When are you available to take pictures?

Being a start up business, we are mostly limited to taking pictures on weekends and evenings.  During the winter months, this might limit us to weekends.   So our schedule may become more hectic as more people learn about what a great service we offer!  That's why you should contact Ashtabula Market today!

Once you post my listing on Ashtabula Market, or on my paid website, can I make changes to the content?

Our number one goal is to satisfy you.  If there is anything that you want changed in the listing, we will immediately make the effort to correct whatever you want.  You can change your selling price, contact information, descriptions - anything you want.  If you want us to come out to have different pictures taken after the initial session, there would likely be an additional charge.

I'm a little leery about posting my phone number or address on the internet.  How can I avoid this, yet still get the traffic I want?

That's not a problem.  If you are listing on Ashtabula Market, We can publish your listing with instructions to contact the seller through Ashtabula Market, using OUR contact page.  We will  forward the interested parties' contact info to you, preferably by email.  Or, if you have your own website, they can email you through a contact page similar to ours, even though they don't have your email address!

I see on your home page that you might charge for mileage.  How does that work?

If your location is (typically) more than 20 miles from Ashtabula Harbor, then we MAY charge you mileage.  IF this is the case, we will make sure that this is understood prior to our scheduling an appointment.

Is your service only available for people selling their houses "For Sale By Owner"?

We are glad to help you sell your house whether it's "By Owner" or through a realtor.  Either way, having an online ad will help sell your house!

What is your refund and payment policy?

We will accept cancellations up until the day we come to take the photos.  When we arrive to take the photos, we will require 100% of the total due at that time.  Once the listing is online, there are no refunds available, as virtually all of our costs are incurred near the beginning of this process.

Do you accept credit cards?

No, at this time we prefer checks, but cash works too!

I see you offer virtual tours?  Can I get a virtual tour with my listing on your website?

The virtual tours that we offer at HeresYourTour.com are available for your Ashtabula Market listing or on your own website at an additional charge of $40.  This is 1/3 off the regular price for our virtual tour.  To get this price you must let us know you want the virtual tour when you schedule your appointment to take the pictures.  Otherwise, it would be necessary to re-visit your location, as the type type of photography used for panoramic virtual tours is different from the photography that we use for the online pictures.

Will I always get an elevated picture?

Wherever it is appropriate, we will provide the elevated shot.  This shot will be dependent on the suitability of the picture, but will also depend on current weather conditions when we are at your location to take the pictures.  If conditions are not appropriate for taking the elevated pictures, we will proceed with taking the pictures that we can, and reschedule the elevated shots for a later date.  This will not keep us from taking the rest of the pictures.
